Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy was presented in another gameplay trailer. After the material from April, THQ Nordic (publisher of the series) decided to introduce the first of the returning playable characters - the knight Pontius, distinguished by his courage and big heart (and equally impressive posture; the result of his love for pies - or rather, good food and drink in general).

Pontius needs no introduction to fans of the series, as do many of his abilities. These mostly rely on the use of his sword and shield, sometimes in creative ways. They come in handy not only when fighting monsters, but also when solving simple puzzles, which are abundant in the fantastic world of the Trine series.

Perhaps more importantly, however, the footage reveals the release date of Trine 5, which will launch on August 31. The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S Nintendo Switch.

Probably by that time, Frozenbyte and THQ Nordic will show the remaining two protagonists whose lives we have been following since the beginning of the series: the thief Zoya and the wizard Amadeus.
