Toxic Playstation Fans Cannot Handle Release of Ghost of Tsushima on PC

The release of another PlayStation-exclusive title on PC has sparked excitement among many players, but Sony „fans” (or rather, fanboys or trolls) aren't thrilled with the decision.

Not everyone agrees with Phil Spencer and Hiroki Totoki's vision of abandoning exclusive titles. This was clearly demonstrated by the flood of toxic comments after the release of Ghost of Tsushima on PC was confirmed.

Finding such posts is quite easy. Immediately after entering the Community Center on the Sucker Punch studio's game tab on Steam, we are "kindly welcomed" by threads whose authors urge other users not to buy Ghost of Tsushima and express anger or surprise at Sony's "betrayal" (read: the release of a previously exclusive title for PlayStation consoles on PC).

Toxic fumes evaporate from Ghost of Tsushima card on Steam.

It's important to mention early on that there may be doubts about the genuineness of the outrage expressed by these internet users. Especially when the author expresses concerns about potential changes to make GoT more "woke" on PCs or when a given user "accidentally" has one of the earlier ports of former PlayStation "exclusives" in his Steam collection.

Some of these malcontents are probably not genuinely "disturbed" by the release of Ghost of Tsushima on PC. They care more about annoying other players and "farming" badges from Steam users.

Not all PlayStation fans are concerned about Sony's decision, and there are also people on the other side adding fuel to the fire. For instance, composing haiku for "Sony fanboys."

Ghost of Tsushima will be released on PC on May 16. The game will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store in the director's edition.
