TLOU2 Remaster Dev Advises Players With Weak Hearts Against Playing New Survival Mode
The remaster of The Last of Us Part II will bring not only nicer visuals, but also new features, such as the No Return mode. According to one of the developers, not all players will be ready for this extremely challenging gameplay variant.
Premiere of the remastered The Last of Us Part II is fast approaching, and with it, more information about Naughty Dog's refreshed hit is hitting the web. The latest of them concern the No Return mode, presented last month.
The gameplay variant focused on combat, survival and arcade aspects will be so intense that it may not be suitable for "weak-hearted" players, according to Naughty Dog's senior character designer Del Walker.
No Return is a combination of survival and roguelike, in which death means losing progress and returning to the beginning. The mode will enable you to choose a character from a group of more than a dozen characters appearing in The Last of Us Part II. The variant is also expected to offer at least 12 diverse levels.
Will No Return actually turn out to be as extreme as the developers advertise? We will find out on January 19, when the game will debut on PlayStation 5. Owners of the PlayStation 4 release will be able to upgrade their copy for $10 to Remastered edition.
