Titanfall 2 to get a free DLC next week

EA and Respawn Entertainment aren't offering a season pass for Titanfall 2. Instead, all DLCs are to be free for all players. The first content pack is coming out next week.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege is not the only online shooter that gets free content. Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2 is going to receive a free DLC pack called Angel City’s Most Wanted next week – it will become available on November 30 for those who pre-ordered the game, and on December 3 for everyone else. The package will consist of an extra map (Angel City from the first Titanfall), a weapon, Titan customization kits, a new pilot execution move, and more. See the details in this blog post.

This is how the developers are fulfilling their promise that they wouldn’t be selling a season pass for their latest game, instead giving out all post-launch add-ons for free. Respawn Entertainment assures us that “all maps, modes, weapons – anything that has effect on gameplay – will be free for all players that bought Titanfall 2”, but fans will not be denied a chance to spend some extra coin on cosmetic goodies. Everyone who’s interested will be able to purchase the stuff in an in-game store, to be introduced in the upcoming update.
