Titan Quest 2 Announced; Diablo 4 Got New Competitor
Titan Quest 2 was announced at this year's THQ Nordic Digital Showcase. The announcement of the sequel to the iconic action RPG was laced with a spectacular trailer.
This information has certainly been awaited by many fans of Titan Quest. After all, during this year's THQ Nordic Digital Showcase it was announced that work is underway on the second installment of the series launched in 2006..
- Titan Quest II - as that is the title of the upcoming action RPG - is being developed by German studio Grimlore Games, known for its work on the third installment of SpellForce.
- Gamers should also be interested in the fact that game is being developed not only for personal computers, but also PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles..
- Unfortunately, no release date for the game was announced at the event.
- However, we are left with an impressive-looking trailer to sweeten the deal. You can watch it below.
According to the developers, the second part, like the original, will take us to ancient Greece. Players will face unimaginable challenges, striving to acquire legendary loot and create powerful character builds. The latter will be necessary to defeat the main antagonist of Titan Quest II - Nemesis, the goddess of vengeance.
Recall that several years ago - through THQ Nordic - the original Titan Quest lived to see a free re-release, and a while later we received two sizable DLCs. The game then also received a port to PS4, XOne and mobile devices.
In terms of mechanics Titan Quest is a classic representative of the hack'n'slash action RPG genre. The release of the second part will therefore mean that Diablo IV will gain another competitor next to Path of Exile 2.
