A couple of weeks ago No Man’s Sky Worlds Part 2 was released. This update introduced new elements like additional minerals or different types of planets. Unfortunately, there were also some technical problems, and some players had to deal with black pixels. What was missing from the launch patch, however, was a new expedition, which was teased. The waiting time is over, though, as it launched yesterday. Unfortunately, this brings another bug to the game.

Flickering and audio bug in NMS explained

Shortly after the release of Expedition 17 Titan, players started complaining about the irritating bug. UI elements located in the bottom right of the screen begin to flicker rapidly. In addition, they make sound while doing this.

Right now, there is no solution for this bug. Changing the milestone, reloading the save or restarting the game won't help. However, players report that this bug fixes itself after some time. So, for now, you can mute the game and still play. At some point, everything should stop flickering. If, on the other hand, this glitch is too annoying for you then, for a time, you can abandon the expedition and return to the main save. This problem does not occur outside of the Expedition.

This issue was also reported to Hello Games, so they will probably repair it in one of the upcoming patches. It seems that you have to be patient (whether you decide to continue or temporarily stop the expedition).
