DB Sparking Zero – How to Beat Ape Vegeta

At first, the fight with Great Ape Vegeta may seem impossible. But by learning his attack patterns and using these tips, you can gain the upper hand:

  1. Use Sparking Rush Attacks: These let you get through his super armor and deal solid damage.
  2. Follow up with Kamehameha: After a Sparking Rush, the best use of your Ki is the one and only Kamehameha (the ultimate Dragon Ball blast). This powerful attack can nearly wipe out one of Ape Vegeta’s four life bars.
  3. Make use of the rocky landscape: You can smash him into rocks by using Rush Chain combo with a Heavy Finisher. Try also Ki Blast and Perfect smash.
  4. Hide behind the rocks to charge up your Ki: This terrain offers numerous hiding spots where you can recharge your Ki after stunning your opponent or while he’s using his special attacks that you’ve manage to dodge.
  5. Watch his moves - When Vegeta leans back, stretches his arms, or tilts his head, be ready to dodge. These are signs that he's preparing for a special attack. Alternatively, if you're close enough, try to attack the enemy from behind to interrupt him.
