Money – New York
In Hitman Freelancer, there are several ways to earn money. Opening safes, for example, is one of them. However, it is worth bearing in mind that it is quite easy to break into the vault on the map in New York. You can find around 10,000 there, so if you have the opportunity, choose this mission at the beginning of the campaign to bolster your budget.
If you have a lot of money, buy the cheapest items from suppliers
This advice may seem strange, however, there is a hidden meaning in it. The moment you buy all the cheap items from suppliers, loot boxes will start spawning much more expensive items. You then eliminate the chance of getting something cheap, as you will only get what you don't currently have.
Saving the game
Players cannot save the game themselves. Hitman Freelancer does this automatically when returning to the hideout or losing. However, you can take advantage of this. If something goes wrong for you, you may simply close the application. When you restart it, you will find yourself back in the hideout before the mission. This way you will not lose your progress.
Payout objectives
It is not worth focusing only on your main target. Look around the map and see if you can easily complete the secondary objectives. It's also a good idea to prepare for them by taking the right equipment from base. Remember, the riskiest tasks are those that involve killing guards with loud weapons.
Use remote stun guns
These can be picked up by guards patrolling the area. When this happens, detonate the stun gun to get a kill. This trick is very useful, especially when you know that your target is a guard.
Before firing up the freelancer mode, play every story map
Freelancer was created for players who have spent a considerable amount of time getting to know the game, which means getting familiar with the inaccessible areas and the map layout itself. If you are familiar with this, it will come with much greater ease to carry out jobs in this mode. It is useful to know in which parts of the map you can move in particular outfits or find something useful. Perfect mastery of the game mechanics is also fundamental.
Maps
It may sound obvious, but not all maps are created equal. Choose the ones you know well and on which you feel comfortable. There are no clearly bad maps. However, Colorado is worth watching out for, as this location causes the most problems for fans.
You can pause your game
Although players need to be connected to the network to play the freelancer mode, this doesn't mean that the game can't be paused. There is such an option, and if you need time to think about your next move, it is worth taking advantage of it.
How to find head of syndicate
At the end of each campaign you have to deal with the head of the syndicate. This is problematic because you have several potential targets. However, each of them carries a special device. If you get it and turn it on in a secluded area, the other suspects will come there. This gives you many new options.
You can easily avoid fighting your opponents
The moment you are detected by opponents, it is a good idea to escape to a safe place and then change your clothes. Occasionally, you can also hide in a crate. These methods will only work if none of the opponents have seen you, so make sure you are not in their field of vision.
Take something to throw
Various throwing objects are very useful tools during missions. They enable new strategic moves. Moreover, they do not disappear after a failed mission. A good choice is a newspaper, which can be used repeatedly.
Experience points in Mastery system
For each mission you undertake - even the unsuccessful one - you will receive some XP. The better you have done your task, the more experience you will receive. For these you will earn mastery levels. They will enable you to unlock new weapons, decorations and even rooms in your hideout.
Think through which weapons you want to take with you
Before embarking on each mission, you'll need to take a particular piece of equipment with you as you approach the weapon wall. The problem is that you won't be able to take all the weapons. Each of them has its gear capacity score. If you exceed the maximum level, you will not be able to start the mission. Therefore, plan well what equipment you will find most useful in the upcoming assignment.
