Thriller adventure Kursk set for release in the second half of 2017
In April 2000, a Russian submarine called Kursk mysteriously sank, taking the entire crew with it. In 2017, Polish developers at Jujubee will try to retell that story in their upcoming thriller adventure game.
Yesterday we wrote about Jujubee’s modern-day Europa Universalis-inspired grand strategy Realpolitiks, but we’d also like to remind you that the Polish studio has yet another game up their sleeves. The other one is Kursk, a quasi documental FPP adventure game with elements of survival, telling about the eponymous nuclear-powered Russian submarine, which mysteriously sank in the Barents Sea in 2000, dragging the wole crew of 118 sailors along with it. For the sake of narrative, the story will be spiced up with some espionage motifs and elements of thriller, and players will get to discover an alternative scenario of this controversial disaster.
Kursk is Jujubee’s biggest project so far, which is aimed to release in the second half of 2017 for PC (Windows, Linux), Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game has no publisher yet, but the developers believe that time is on their side – the farther into development, the better deal they can get. Their intent is to deliever a boxed version of Kursk across all the major platforms.
