This War of Mine creators’ next game is Frostpunk – watch a teaser trailer

This War of Mine creators present Frostpunk, a story of survival set in a frozen world, where morality is questioned by everyday choices.

Polish developer 11 bit software, the studio that brought us the award-winning This War of Mine, are trying their hands at another survival-themed game called Frostpunk. This time, instead of being a civilian trying to live through another day during war, players will be challenged by the forces of nature. Here is the first teaser trailer created by Platige Image, Polish producer of impressive CGI cinematics for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, Hitman, Total War: Warhammer, Prey, and many other projects.

Frostpunk is going to be set in a completely frozen world, in which people have built steam-powered machines in order to beat the overwhelming cold. The game will be woven around a mature theme: what are people capable of when pushed to their limits? Similarly to This War of Mine, Frostpunk will play on our emotions by putting morality and survival on the opposite weighing scales. Despite featuring elements of strategy and management, decision-making will be the key gameplay mechanic.

Frostbite is planned to hit the shelves some time in 2017. No target platforms have been revealed so far, but we guess PC is a safe bet.
