This One-man Game's Unique Visuals Have Already Won the Community

An independent developer from Slovakia has been creating a unique game for over three years. Its unique visual style sparked admiration among Reddit users.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • A Slovak developer has been working for over three years on a unique game;
  • Its unique visuals have generated a lot of interest on Reddit;
  • The game is most likely a 2D platformer.

When evaluating visuals, we usually take into account their realism. Sometimes, however, equally impressive is a unique style, which does not have to be hyperrealistic.

This is the case with HEAVYDELIC, an independent game of a Slovak developer and illustrator Eniac. He has been creating his work for over three years now and the effects (although limited for now) aroused the admiration of Reddit users.

From time to time the dev publish new graphics or short animations from the game. All materials represent a unique style, which immediately inscribes itself in memory.

Developer Eniac, as he admits, is inspired mainly by surrealism and numerous science fiction trends. The last of his published graphics, however, reveals that he also draws from other sources.

When creating elements of the virtual world, Eniac transforms objects found in his environment. A good example is a reinterpretation of a bas-relief that Eniac came across in Bratislava.

What exactly is HEAVYDELIC?

The question of what actually is HEAVYDELIC is currently difficult to answer. Even though work on the game has been going on for three years. Eniac still hasn't shared almost any information about it.

However, looking at the graphics and animations published by the developer, we can say that it will most likely be a unique 2D platformer.

All the materials available so far can be found on the game's official website. There is also the address where the creator's account on Patreon is located. There's nothing stopping you from supporting the Slovak developer financially.
