Original News
Earlier this week we learned that today, on May 29, the fifth trailer of Death Stranding will be published. As the latest project of Hideo Kojima, known primarily as the creator of the Metal Gear series, is still shrouded in mystery, it caused a great deal of excitement among gamers. Yesterday, to further heat up the atmosphere, Kojima Productions and Sony decided to launch a live broadcast, which will almost certainly be crowned by the release of a new trailer for the upcoming production. You can watch it on the official PlayStation Twitch channel.
So far, the stream entitled Tomorrow Is In Your Hands doesn't show much. We can only see handprints appearing on black liquid, i.e. elements that were already scrolling in the previous trailers. What is interesting, however, is that the contours of the traces show fragments of a film, perhaps from the upcoming trailer. In the background there is dark ambient music and a female voice speaks from time to time, repeating a barely understandable phrase, saying something about staying together.
Despite little information, the live broadcast is very popular among players. Currently it is watched by more than 90 thousand people.
It's hard to predict what we'll see on the new Death Stranding trailer. Ultimately, we are dealing with Hideo Kojima, who is known for his ability to surprise. However, it is possible that in the end, almost three years after the first announcement, we will know the date of the title's launch. To some extent, this may be confirmed by the fact that a product card has already leaked from PlayStation Store where the pre-orders will start shortly (via Wccftech). According to the website, those who decide to pre-order will receive a dynamic PlayStation 4 theme, a special avatar and items to use in the game - gold sunglasses, armour, hat and something that looks like an exoskeleton to increase speed.
Another interesting thing that leaked out with the product card is the likely official description of Death Stranding's story. Here it is:
Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.
Still sounds very mysterious. We can only keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming trailer to clarify a little more what production we will be dealing with and confirm that the new Hideo Kojima game will be a truly remarkable experience.
