The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 Will Gradually Receive Multiplayer Features
CD Projekt Group still plans to add multiplayer features to the Witcher and Cyberpunk brands, with their elements being introduced gradually.
Today's financial summary of the CD Projekt Group included mentions of the plans of the Polish developer for its franchises. However, it was during the Q&A session with the company's CEO that a somewhat forgotten issue was raised. Adam Kicinski revealed that the company intends to gradually add multiplayer features to The Witcher and Cyberpunk.
Kicinski didn't specify which IPs will receive this type of addition first, but he explained what this "gradualness" is supposed to consist of. The first approach is supposed to be a kind of a test, from which CD Projekt will draw conclusions and which will be developed step by step. Perhaps this is the "research work" mentioned in the Group's report is related to in the context of new projects.
CD Projekt has long promised to add multiplayer features to "all of its IPs". However, it was easy to forget about it when the attention of both players and developers was occupied with patching of Cyberpunk 2077 which has been plagued by numerous bugs since the release. For the same reason, the game's announced multiplayer module has been shelved - at least for now.
