Bigben Interactive has released new gameplay from The Sinking City - an action horror game inspired by the prose of H.P. Lovecraft and developed by Frogwares studio. The video lasts a little over four minutes and is accompanied by a narrative shows the plot and summarizing the most important aspects of the game.
The main part of The Sinking City is to be exploration and investigation - the developer wants the player to feel like a real detective, discovering secrets that probably should not be discovered. Conversations with NPCs and various types of clues - items and official documents we may or may nor access - will be of great importance. It is worth noting that the game will not lead players by the hand - we can not count on simple hints and markers on the map, suggesting where we should go..
We would like to remind you that The Sinking City was announced in March 2016. The title's developer (also known from a series of adventure games starring adventures with Sherlock Holmes) initially worked on another game inspired by the work of the Loner from Providence - Call of Cthulhu - but the project was given to Cyanide instead (and saw the light of day in October, last year), while the team at Frogwares decided to develop their own game.
The Sinking City is coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Initially, the game was slated for release on March 21, this year (the date was given by the publisher in June 2018), but recent reports suggest that its launch may be delayed by two months. The devs promised to make a statement on this issue in the next few weeks.
