At the end of last week, we informed that there was a stir among a large number of The Sims 4 players, and they began to notice that the title lacks richer customization options for characters and items that can be placed in virtual houses. In the center of all the commotion was the disappointingly low number of skin tones that can be chosen for our Sims and the not very attractive appearance of some of the existing ones. There was even a petition to get EA Maxis to take a look at the problem. It seems that all of these actions have had the desired effect. Lyndsay Pearson, producer of The Sims 4, has posted a special message on Twitter, commenting on the whole matter and presenting team's plans for the future.
What next? That, we don't know. However, lovers of the latest instalment of the iconic series of 'life simulators' should expect further novelties and improvements in the near and far future.
However, if we don't want to wait for official add-ons and fixes and play The Sims 4 on PC, we can always be interested in fan-made mods. New skin tones can be found in Melanin Pack prepared by Xmiramira streamer. If we're looking for hairstyles and accessories, we'll find them here, on a website owened by The Sims lover called Ebonix.
We would like to remind that The Sims 4 has been available on PC since September 2014. Three years later, the console edition also saw the light of day. Recently, the devs boasted that over 30 million people have played the game.
