The Pokemon and LEGO collab trailer leaked, so they quickly made it official
Gotta buy them all! LEGO Pokemon is finally happening, and I couldn’t be more excited.

It’s a great time to be a Pokémon fan. Pokémon TCG Pocket launched last year (and it’s everything you could wish for), Pokémon GO is almost nine years old and still going strong, and there’s a new Switch game on the horizon. With the franchise’s 30th anniversary next year, what better way to celebrate than with LEGO Pokémon sets?
The collaboration we've all been waiting for!
Pokémon-Switch Stock shared a 14-second teaser on X, hinting at a LEGO and Pokémon collaboration and added, “Expect it to arrive next year.” The video is believed to have come from LEGO Mexico’s Facebook page, possibly posted too early by mistake. But soon after, both Pokémon Company and LEGO made it official. Either way, it’s real, people!
As the 2026 will be Pokémon 30th anniversary, the timing couldn’t be more perfect, plus it might be connected to Pokémon Generation 10 reveal. So, take all my money and give me those yellow bricks already!
This will be LEGO’s first-ever Pokémon set, since up until now, only Mattel’s MEGA had the license (and even renewed it in 2022). I actually have an Eevee from MEGA, but it’s half-assembled and buried somewhere deep in my closet because those bricks are a pain to put together. I’ve never had trouble building LEGO, so this news makes me beyond excited. Can’t wait to see which Pokémon we’ll get to build – besides Pikachu, of course.
