The Medium Devs Talk About Designing Two Worlds
Bloober Team told the story from behind the scenes of creating the visual setting of its latest horror game - The Medium.
Not only the story will be the foundation of The Medium's atmosphere, but also the game's unique graphic style. When creating their latest work, the Krakow-based team, does not follow a single particular artistic concept, but two, based on completely different color palettes. The visual aspects of parallel dimensions in the world of The Medium were described straight from behind the scenes by designers from Bloober Team, Damian Zukowski and Aneta Bielas.
The video published by the devs presents the main artistic idea for the game. You will learn from it why the real dimension, despite being safe, is so grey and cold, and why the contrasting spiritual world, with its warm colours, remains gloomy and gives goose bumps not only because of its threats.
Undoubtedly, the style chosen by the devs gives The Medium an incredible atmosphere, and the game itself, scheduled for launch shortly, can leave its mark on the horror genre not only with its story, classic gameplay but also audiovisual setting. Let's hope that the game will meet our expectations on launch.
The Medium will be release on January 28, this year. The game will appear on PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
