The Last of Us Remake Launch Imminent, Confirms Jeff Grubb
Another tipster confirms that we won't be waiting long for the PlayStation 5 remake of The Last of Us.
It looks like the first The Last of Us will finally be getting a PlayStation 5 version. Following recent rumors, Jeff Grubb spoke on the matter during the Kinda Funny Games podcast. The popular (and reliable) journalist from VentureBeat revealed that his sources confirm the debut of The Last of Us Remake later this year.
We have been hearing about the refreshed version of TLoU for several months now. The project has allegedly already managed to change developers: from Visual Arts Service Group to Naughty Dog, the creators of the original. Recently, speculation about the remake have been stirred up by one of the members of the former studio, which is allegedly still helping with the project. Earlier in January, insider Tom Henderson mentioned the game's release in 2022.
We point out that this is unofficial information and there is no confirmation at this time that The Last of Us Remake is being created at all. Yes, Jeff Grubb repeatedly passed on news which later turned out to be true, but it's better to wait for an official announcement from Sony on this matter.
