Telltale’s next project is reportedly Guardians of the Galaxy: The Video Game
Telltale Games have been working on an adventure game set in the Marvel universe. There are reasons to believe this next project is Guardians of the Galaxy: The Video Game.
Back in April 2015 Marvel announced their partnership with Telltale Games, experts at comic-inspired, choice-based adventure games, such as The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, or Batman. The collaboration was going to result in several games set in the Marvel universe. No details were given at the time, but it seems now that one of those titles will be focused on the Guardians of the Galaxy – a group of superheroes popularized by the 2014 movie – ComicBookMovie found out.
SAG-AFTRA, a voice acting union who has been striking lately, has revealed a list of games that haven’t been affected by the strike. Among them, there is Guardians of the Galaxy: The Video Game, which is ascribed to O’Farell Enterprises, LLC, the company responsible for The Walking Dead: Season 3 (this has been changed since to Untitled Marvel Game a/k/a Blue Harvest). Since The Walking Dead: Season 3 is obviously a Telltale’s game, we assume that O’Farell Enterprises, LLC is a company that works on the voice over for Telltale’s projects.
Telltale’s secret Marvel game, be that Guardians of the Galaxy or anything else, is slated for release in 2017, so we should probably see an official announcement pretty soon. No target plarforms have been revealed so far, but the developer has a history of releasing ther games on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and mobile devices.
