Recently, things have become quite noisy around Tekken 7. This is mainly due to the appearance a new character - Polish Prime Minister Lidia Sobieska. We can use her in duels from today, if we are willing to purchase a DLC for $5.99.

As it turns out, the latest Tekken is doing quite well even without Lidia, which is best confirmed by a tweet from Katsuhiro Harada, one of the main devs of the series. He admitted on a public forum that the seventh installment of the fighting game has already gathered a group of 7 million players.

This is a really good result, considering the fact that in September 2020, just a few months ago, Harada boasted about 6 million users. This means the game needed really little time to change the number leading those impressive six zeros.

When you further consider that Tekken 7 has been on sale since June 2017, so it will soon turn 4 years old, the devs can certainly be pleased with the ever-growing number of players. And DLCs like the one with Lidia Sobieska will undoubtedly provide even more potential buyers of the game.
