Team Falcons Claim EWC Call of Duty Warzone Trophy
Saudi Arabian esports organization Team Falcons was crowned Call of Duty Warzone EWC champions with an impressive Grand Final points tally of 227.9.
In the opening week of the Esports World Cup, Saudi Arabian esports organization Team Falcons were crowned Call of Duty Warzone EWC champions with an impressive Grand Final points tally of 227.9.
The trio of Biffle, Shifty, and Soka outperformed the other 20 teams and racked up 137 eliminations over eight games to secure Team Falcons $200,000 and the all-important 1,000 points for the Club Championship.
Shifty and Biffle had previously won the World Series of Warzone in 2023 and the squad got off to an incredible start in the Group Stages. The trio remarkably completed a clean sweep and won all four of their games in one day of the groups, something that hadn't been accomplished at LAN before.
Falcons were astonishingly 100 points clear of 2nd place after the Group stages with a ridiculous tally of 255.2. Then in the Grand Finals, Falcons impressed in Match One as Soka was the sole survivor against two other teams but still managed to heroically run into the gas to revive Shifty which bought them just enough time to earn a second-place multiplier
From there, Falcons' fine form continued and took them to first place with a final score of 227.9, 20 points clear of second-place Fnatic, after eight matches. The trio claimed the title and added the keys of Fnatic, Team Vitality, and Twisted Minds to their prize.
And to top it all off, Shifty was awarded the MVP award and $50k following his superb performances throughout.
