Styx: Shards of Darkness gets new gameplay video and release date
A new gameplay footage from Styx: Shards of Darkness shows off some nice ways of fooling or killing opponents undetected. Cyanide Studios have also announced that the game is coming out in March.
The goblin master of infiltration is coming back soon, at least that’s what the new trailer of Styx: Shards of Darkness says. The team at Cyanide Studios have shared a four-minute long gameplay footage of that upcoming sequel to a 2014’s successful stealth fantasy game, featuring some neat ways to fool guards. Along with that, the game has got a specific release date: March 14, 2017. You can now pre-order it on Steam at a price reduced by 10% – $35.99. Styx: Shards of Darkness is going to launch simultaneously on all platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
The video shows off some new tools and abilities which Styx is going to use in order to infiltrate well protected locations. One of the tricks up the goblin’s sleeve is creating a clone, useful for distracting guards – this time he will be able to spawn it at a distance and even teleport himself to the clone’s location for making quick escapes or getting to spots that are difficult to reach. The master of shadows is also more agile, can become invisible, set deadly acid traps that dissolve bodies as well as make use of crossbow with various types of bolts. The goal for Cyanide is to build on the well-proven mechanics of Styx: Master of Shadows, and make the sequel better in every aspect – and we really hope they manage to do that.
