Studio Durian Will Make the Anime Look Back, Based on the Manga by Chainsaw Man Creator. Check Out the First Teaser
A teaser for a new anime, Look Back, has appeared online. It’s another story from the creator of Chainsaw Man.
It has been announced that the manga one-shot from Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto will get an anime adaptation. However, Look Back won’t be a TV production, but a theatrical movie. The film is scheduled to debut on June 28, 2024, so you won't have to wait long for it.
Many had already guessed that such production would be made, after discovering that the domain lookback-anime.com had been registered, but only now an official announcement has been made and that confirms all speculation. In addition, we’ve got the first teaser, which, although it doesn't reveal too much, at least shows what kind of style we can expect from the animation.
The movie will be produced by Studio Durian, which belongs to Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who also serves as director of this anime. He has previously worked on Chainsaw Man, Devilman: Crybaby, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and the two Fullmetal Alchemist films, so we can say that he’s an experienced director and animator who should properly take care of this project.
