The new Stronghold will not come to the market until next year.

Fans of the strategy game series Stronghold were soon to see the new installment. Unfortunately, they will have to wait a little longer. Firefly announced a delay in the launch of Stronghold: Warlords from September 29, 2020 to January 26, 2021. Problems were caused by the situation with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which was took its toll on other devteams. The influence of COVID-19 on the functioning of the company and individual employees turned out to be greater than expected.

The game is practically finished (via Worthplaying), but the developers are still testing and balancing the gameplay. Simon Bradbury, creative director at Firefly Studios, assures that by January the game will be fine-tuned to meet the player expectations. We take their word for it and arm ourselves with patience.
