Strong introduction to GTA 6 is Steven Ogg's latest idea for linking Rockstar's new game to GTA 5
Steven Ogg's idea to start Grand Theft Auto 6 could be like therapy for fans frustrated by the long wait for the GTA 5 continuation.

The players' hunger strike for the new Grand Theft Auto persists, frustrating not only fans of the gangster series but also other developers, publishers, and even actors associated with Rockstar Games. At least for most of them, because Trevor's voice from GTA 5 joined the fun with an exceptionally unusual idea for a guest (and very short) appearance of the character from the fifth installment in GTA 6.
Let's make it clear right away: Steven Ogg isn't a reliable source of information about the sixth installment of the series, as the actor most likely won't appear in this title at all. So treat his idea as pure speculation, not as another completely certain and absolutely non-fictitious "teaser."
Ogg stated in an interview with Screen Rant that it would be "funny" if Trevor appeared at the very beginning of Grand Theft Auto 6... only to be killed off immediately. In a way, GTA 5 greeted players similarly, except that in that installment the victim was "only" a side character from GTA 4, not the main character of the previous installments of the series.
Brutal farewell to GTA 5 after over 11 years
We must admit that it would be a perverse move on the Rockstar's part. Some GTA fans are even demanding the return of Trevor, so it's easy to imagine their reaction to the killing of their favorite character in the opening sequence. Which, by the way, might not even require Ogg's involvement, if Trevor didn't get a chance to say even a single word.
Nonetheless, Ogg also points to symbolism: the unceremonious killing of Trevor would be the ultimate farewell to the previous "generation" of Grand Theft Auto.
I think that would be cool because it also acknowledges the fans... like 'Hey, thank you.' Pass the torch, stomp Trevor's head in, and sort of put an end to that and allow a new generation to take over.
Given the frustration of fans who have been waiting for more than 11 years for a new installment of the series, and even after the official announcement are left in the dark by Rockstar's lack of information, and such a harsh farewell to the GTA 5 protagonist could truly serve as a catharsis for the players.
Nevertheless, let's underline that this is just (most likely) a pious wish of Steven Ogg, similar to the previous theories and speculations of players. They are now hoping that Rockstar will finally reveal some secrets before the financial results conference scheduled for February 6th.
