Street Fighter 6 (SF6) - Ultrawide and Fullscreen Support Explained
In this guide you will learn all about ultrawide and fullscreen modes in Street Fighter 6. We also described how to change the display settings.
Street Fighter 6 is an action-packed fighting game in which play as a variety of characters and fight opponents. Among other things, the game is praised for its highly enjoyable gameplay, visuals and smooth animations, but unfortunately, it has several technical shortcomings that are bothersome to players. In this guide you will learn all about ultrawide and fullscreen modes in Street Fighter 6.
Ultrawide in Street Fighter 6
Unfortunately SF6 does not support ultrawide mode. Grey frames can be particularly bothersome for those with large monitors that allow for playing in the 21:9 screen ratio. For player comfort, they should certainly be changed to black, as this would better for visual perception of the game. Ultrawide is not often seen in fighting games, but sometimes it is supported, an example being Mortal Kombat 11, which features this mode.
Fullscreen in Street Fighter 6
In SF6, for the moment, we will also not experience fullscreen mode. Only windowed and borderless windowed are available. The latter will enable us to get closer to fullscreen. To activate it, you need to:
- Enter the game options,
- Then select the graphics tab,
- Open basic graphics,
- Find display mode and select borderless windowed.
Although nothing is certain as of yet, it is very possible that if fans demand the introduction of the aforementioned modes, one of the future updates to Street Fighter 6 will add fullscreen and maybe even ultrawide.
