Street Fighter 6 Announces TMNT as Guests
Street Fighter 6 is about to launch an event that will bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as guest fighters in the game.
Capcom has announced a crossover of the popular fighting game Street Fighter 6 with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.
- The event will begin on August 8, 2023, which is tomorrow.
- As part of it, players will be able to personalize their in-game avatars with new equipment and emotes related to the characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
- In addition to personalizing avatars, players will be able to use new humorous titles, send emotes from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to chat, modify mobile wallpapers and in-game camera frames and, most importantly, transform their World Tour and Battle Hub avatars into their characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
This is the second major crossover of Street Fighter 6 with another brand. The first was a collaboration with clothing company Onitsuka Tiger at the game's launch.
SF6 crossover with TMNT stems from the theatrical release of the animated movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which debuted last week.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the only upcoming attraction in Street Fighter 6. Capcom also revealed a new playable character, which is the female fighter known as A.K.I. She will join the game's roster in the fall, with more details to be revealed soon.
Street Fighter 6 made its debut on June 2, simultaneously on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and PC via Steam.
