Remote Play Together Beta Ends; Valve Announces Sale and Event on Steam

Steam finished testing a new version of Remote Play Together. From now on, users can play selected titles with friends who do not have an account on Valve's platform. The company intends to celebrate the fact with a special sale and event.

For almost a month Valve has been testing a new update planned for Steam, and with it an expanded version of one of the interesting features. We're talking about Remote Play Together, which from now on enables all users of the platform to play together even without having a Steam account. Just launch any title that supports this feature and a link will appear on your friends list, which you can send to three players (or more depending on the game). These players will be able to join your session either through Steam or through Steam Link, without having to create an account or buy the game you're playing. The feature is available on Windows PCs as well as iOS, Android, Linux and macOS devices.

Valve apparently values the new version of Remote Play Together and intends to celebrate its debut. This will take the form of an event, during which a special sale will be launched on Steam including games supporting the feature. The celebration will begin on March 25 and will last until March 29. The event will also features a long broadcast with a handful of streamers who will share links that will enable us to join their games.
