Starship Troopers: Terran Command has been delayed. The RTS will be released on June 16, this year. The developers cited the desire to polish the production and fix existing bugs as the reason for postponing the release.

The real-time strategy from The Aristocrats was supposed to debut on March 31, but the developer and publisher, Slitherine Software, released a statement informing fans that the game still needs some final touches. The game is finished in terms of content, but the developers need a few extra months to make sure the new installment of Starship Troopers is fully polished for release and does not share the fate of many modern games, which need tons of patches and updates right after release. At the same time, the developer and publisher assure that June 16 is the definitive release date and there will be no further postponements.

The new and definitive launch date will be June 16 2022.
We know many will find this announcement disappointing and we apologize. We truly feel that a few extra months of further polish and bug fixing will make a significant difference.
We intend to deliver a finished and polished game, and it is very important for us that you are able to fully enjoy the game from day 1, without any issue spoiling your fun or without having to wait for future patches or hotfixes.
The game is now content complete and all remaining development time will be entirely focused on refining what already exists. We can't wait to reveal more, and we plan to show you a lot in the months leading up to the launch in June," reads the official statement on publisher Slitherine Software's website.
Work on Starship Troopers: Terran Command was announced in 2019, and the release was originally announced for 2020. As we can see this is not the first delay. Let's hope that - as promised by the developers and publisher - this is the last one. The strategy game will be released exclusively on PC.
