Not Everyone Will Like Starfield's Ending; Todd Howard Explains Why
According to Todd Howard, production manager and director of projects for Bethesda Game Studios, Starfield's enigmatic ending will not appeal to all players.
Due to its recent launch and massive size, the vast majority of players have not yet managed to reach Starfield's end credits. However, this does not change the fact that at some point they will be face the story's finale. Is it satisfying? You'll have to find out for yourself. Nevertheless, according to Todd Howard, the ending may not be to everyone's liking.
In an interview with NPR, production manager and project director of Bethesda Game Studios hinted that those who don't like understatement may find the story's finale "a bit controversial.".
"I think the ending of the game may be a bit controversial. We ask a lot of questions. We don't give too many answers. It seems to me that we would like a lot of those answers to be found in you," Howard explains.
And while the story's finale is still a very distant prospect for many, you should be prepared that it will leave you with more questions than answers.
Starfield's exclusivity on Xbox Series X/S and PC consoles has worked out well for the game
This is not Howard's first such interview about Starfield. As part of the game's promo campaign, the developer very often shares his insights on the latest RPG. Recently, together with Ashley Cheng (managing director of Bethesda) he addressed among other things, the "barren" planets, claiming that they are so on purpose.
In a recent conversation, the legendary designer convinces also that Starfield's exclusiveness on Xbox Series X/S and PC consoles has worked out well for the game. According to Howard, creating something exclusive makes it more possible to focus on the project and make it better.
