Starfield Smoother on PC. FSR 3 and More Fixe Arrive
Starfield has received a new minor patch that introduced the highly anticipated FSR 3 option to the game and fixed several bugs. However, the update is a test one for now and is only available on Steam.
Bethesda has released a small yet significant update for Starfield, currently only available in the beta version on Steam. The test patch numbered 1.9.67 introduces the highly anticipated FSR 3.0 image scaling technology from AMD into the game, allowing for even higher frame rates while maintaining high image quality.
Furthermore, several urgent fixes have been implemented for Starfield. The issue with game saves that some players experienced after visiting too many planets during a single playthrough (NG) has been resolved.
Details of patch 1.9.67 (beta) for Starfield
- AMD FidelityFXTM Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3.0) technology support has been added - PC.
- The Intel Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) technology has been implemented - PC.
- Fixed an issue that could cause clouds to shake when using DLSS - PC performance mode.
- A small graphic glitch that could occur while aiming or changing tasks has been fixed.
- The method of releasing FormID has been changed during loading of saves. This should improve the stability of saves for players who have visited too many locations.
- The bug that could have arisen during ship modifications has been fixed, necessitating the transfer of all items to the cargo hold in the ship creation menu.
- The error causing the data menu to open when taking screenshots using the F12 key - PC, has been eliminated.
- The resolution scale should no longer reset to 1.0 when switching from full-screen mode to windowed mode while using DLSS - PC.
As the update is in a testing phase, the developers urge all Steam players to experiment with it (select the "beta" tab in the game's "properties" and choose the version in question) and share their feedback. The patch is expected to be available on all platforms within approximately 2-3 weeks if everything goes as planned, already in the full version.
