Starfield Playable From Start to End; Still no Release Date
New information has emerged regarding Starfield. One of them is that we still do not know when exactly the game will be released.
Despite the upcoming release of Starfield we still do not know when we will see it. Recently, there has been a lot of speculations regarding the probable debut date of the space RPG from Bethesda, but, so far, none of them has been confirmed.
Starfield in a sea of rumors
So far Bethesda has maintained that Starfield will appear in the first half of 2023. Recent rumors have claimed, however, that both Starfield, as well as another major title being released by Bethesda - Redfall - are expected to be in a "raw" technical condition, which could cause the former to be delayed.
New revelations in connection with Bethesda's game were provided by Windows Central; as is often the case, they include bad news and good news.
The bad news is that the alleged leak of the release date of Starfield, which appeared in the CDKeys store, has no foundation in reality. The posted date - March 23, 2023 - is almost 100% a placeholder. The credibility of the website is undermined even by the stated platform on which Starfield would be released - according to CDKeys, it will be available on Bethesda Launcher, which has been closed in May.
But there is also good news: in a conversation with a "trusted source," Windows Central's Jez Corden was assured that Starfield is already playable from start to end, which could contradict recent rumors about the "raw condition" of the game.
Of course, this does not mean that the title is ready to see the light of day; Starfield probably still faces a multitude of tweaks and final touches left to be done. Bethesda would also surely prefer to avoid a repeat of Fallout 76, which launched in abysmal condition.
There are still a lot of unknowns in this regard - too many to say anything with 100% certainty.
The only indisputable fact is that Starfield will be released on PC and XSX/S. However, we still don't know when.
