Starfield Provides XP Bonus for Getting (and Remaining) Intimate
Those who are not familiar with Bethesda games may be surprised by what Starfield rewards the protagonist for.
Please note, the following text contains spoilers from Starfield!
Anyone who is just beginning their adventure with Starfield, should consider finding a partner in the game as soon as possible. Of course, in addition to the pleasant thought that there is someone who loves us in the dead void of space, having a second half is extremely useful.
A post on Starfield's subreddit reveals that intimate encounters with in-game partners increase the experience points we earn by 15% for 24 in-life minutes of gameplay. So if we are to embark on some important mission providing a lot of XP, it's worth to get laid beforehand.
As noted by VGC journalists, this temporary bonus called "emotional security" is similar to the bonus for sleeping in bed alone, except that you only get a 10% buff to XP for the "Rested" status.
The solution itself should come as no surprise to those familiar with Bethesda games. Fallout 4 had a similar feature.
How to pick up an NPC?
At this point, we must disappoint fans of one-night stands, because only sleeping with our regular partner provides this additional bonus. Fortunately, winning the heart of one of our chosen NPCs is not overly difficult, but, like in real life, you need to be patient in your courtship.
Winning the heart of your chosen one can be sped up by taking him or her on various missions. However, don't go overboard with robberies, as your other half may not be happy about it.
One Reddit user who "boarded a defenseless ship, killed the entire crew, slept in their beds and stole things belonging to them" wondered why his love interes was "disgusted" by his behavior.
However, when we conduct ourselves in a reasonably decent manner, additional options for flirting in conversations will be unlocked over time, and when a convenient opportunity arises, we will be able to walk down the aisle with our chosen person.
Finally, let us remind you that today marks the official launch Starfield. Bethesda's game is available on PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
