Starfield Gains Xbox Play Anywhere Status; Will Gain Cross-platform Saves and More
Starfield has gained Xbox Play Anywhere status. This means that you buy the game once from the Microsoft Store and get access to the game on all hardware platforms.
We are only a few weeks away from the release of Starfield, Bethesda's next big RPG. Those waiting for this title should be interested to know that it has gained the "Xbox Play Anywhere" status. We found out thanks to an update on the game's card in Microsoft Store.
- This means that if we buy the game digitally, paying for it once, we will get access to it on all hardware platforms, that is, both Xbox consoles and PC.
- We will also be able to use cross-platform saves. This feature will also be available to those playing Starfield thanks to Game Pass.
- It should be noted that this only applies to the digital version purchased from Microsoft's store. If we purchase Starfield on Steam, for example, we will not benefit from the attractions of the Xbox Play Anywhere program.
Recall that Starfield is heading for PC, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. The release is scheduled for September 6, this year. The title will at the same time be available in Game Pass on both PC and Xbox consoles.
Many users are eagerly awaiting the game. A demonstration at Microsoft's June conference, which showed extensive gameplay footage from Starfield, generated enormous interest and became the most popular Xbox console event ever.
