Starfield Drops Below Magic Threshold After Receiving Over 60,000 Reviews on Steam

Starfield has already received more than 60,000 reviews from users on Steam. As a result, the game has seen a decline in positive reviews, which often appeared on the day of release.

It can be said that the situation with Starfield is similar to Alfred Hitchcock movies. The game entered the market with strong reviews, and now the plot thickens. This can definitely be seen from the user ratings on Steam.

Starfield below 75% positive review threshold

Starfield has already accumulated more than 60 thousand reviews on Valve's platform .. The main criticisms levied against the game in some of them are: poor graphics, frequent loading screens or bugs.

  1. Some 44 out of 60 thousand reviews praise Bethesda's latest game, while almost 16 thousand advise against its purchase.
  2. The title can boast 73% positive reviews at the moment, which marks a significant drop since its release, when it had more than 80%.
  3. It's worth noting that the game's main tab on Steam lists the number of reviews from users buying the game directly from the platform - for the moment their total is just under 40 thousand.

Recently, the game also lost some reputation on Metacritic, where users began to give the title a lot of extreme ratings - almost exclusively 10s and 0s, which significantly affected the average rating of both the PC version and the Xbox Series X edition.

The impact on the current situation of Starfield on Steam may also have been due to Todd Howard himself, who recently added fuel to the fire. The developer suggested to PC owners, for whom the game runs badly, to upgrade their hardware. With such a statement, he only angered the gamers.

Nevertheless, last weekend, Starfield set a new record in the number of concurrent players on Steam - Bethesda's game was played by as many as 330,723 thousand users. Currently Starfield ranks sixth in the ranking of most played games.
