Starfield and Redfall Rumored to be in 'Raw Condition' and Need More Time
According to disturbing rumors, Starfield and Redfall are said to leave a lot to be desired technically and could use additional months of work.
Disturbing rumors concerning Starfield and Redfall, one of the most important games to be released this year, have surfaced.
- According to these reports, both titles are still raw and without further delays may be released in poor technical condition. Especially in the case of Starfield the current condition of the project is said to leave a lot to be desired.
- The source of these reports is insider known as Horns, who revealed, among other things, the existence of Hi-Fi Rush before the official announcement.
- He claims, Microsoft, which owns Bethesda and Arkane studios, is expected to push for an accelerated release. This is due to the fact that the conglomerate has lost a large amount of money on Azure (a division dealing with cloud technologies) and needs a quick increase in revenue before the next financial report for the current fiscal year.
- In the case of Redfall, the release date has already been set for May 2 and it is unlikely to change. Bethesda, on the other hand, is currently expected to convince Microsoft that Starfield needs more time and should wait until the fall with its release. The latter game has no official debut date as of yet.
- If the release date of Starfield will be announced in June, according to Hornes, it will mean that Microsoft has not listened to Bethesda's requests, in which case we should expect a heavily underdeveloped game.
These rumors are all the more disturbing given that Microsoft has recently carried out mass layoffs which affected, among others, the team working on Starfield.
Redfall i Starfield are heading to PC, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. Both games will be available through Game Pass subscription at the same time - both on PC and consoles.
