Star Wars 1313 Will Not be Resurrected
The resurrection of Lucasfilm Games has some gamers hoping for the return of the promising canceled project Star Wars 1313. According to Jason Schreier such a scenario will not come true.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Industry journalist Jason Schreier has no doubt that Lucasfilm will not return to the Star Wars 1313 project;
- Instead, he believes the company may develop another Star Wars game focused on a bounty hunter.
If you were hoping that the recent resurgence of Lucasfilm Games and the success of The Mandalorian would bring the abandoned Star Wars 1313 project back into the fold, unfortunately we don't have the best news for you. Renowned industry journalist Jason Schreier published a short post on Twitter that leaves no illusions on the matter .
It's worth recalling that Star Wars 1313 was announced in June 2012, and the first gameplay footage made a big impression, as did the trailer released a few months later. The game was to be a spectacular action adventure game (a bit like Uncharted in the Star Wars universe) and was most likely created with PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in mind. Unfortunately, in March 2013 the future of the project became clouded, and in early April we learned of its definitive cancelation, which occurred along with the closure of original LucasArts.
