Unseen Gameplay Footage From Canceled Star Wars 1313
A previously unknown gameplay from the canceled game Star Wars 1313, in which we were to play as Boba Fett, has just hit the web. The Coruscant is presents impressess with sheer scope.
- Youtube channel The Vault published a video with gameplay from the canceled Star Wars 1313;
- The main character would be Boba Fett, and the action would take place a few years after the end of Revenge of the Sith;
- Game was to take us to the title 1313th level of the planet Coruscant and in many ways resemble games from the Uncharted series.
Do you remember what Star Wars looked like before Disney bought it? Sure, we got a lot of duds - like the "so bad it's good" Kinect Star Wars - but they paled in comparison to the hits like Clone Wars or Knights of the Old Republic. Indeed, even The Force Unleashed series found a loyal following.
One of the games that had a good chance to join the second group was Star Wars 1313 announced during E3 2012, in which we were supposed to play as Boba Fett. The action would most likely be set 5 to 10 years before the Battle of Yavin (after the third episode of the prequel trilogy) and would take us to the titular 1313th level of the planet-city of Coruscant.
After Disney bought the Star Wars franchise and shut down LucasArts, the game was scrapped. However, a few hours ago youtube channel The Vault - dedicated to Star Wars games - released a gameplay video from the canceled Star Wars 1313, which gives an idea of how the title might have looked like in action.
The above video is a compilation of footage shared on the website of James Zachary, who led the animation team that worked on Star Wars 1313. The footage coincides with screenshots that have leaked online over the past few years. While many elements lack textures, the sequence presented here captures the vastness of Coruscant's underground network quite well.

The game itself was supposed to be aimed at adult audience and in many ways resemble the Uncharted series. This can be seen on the published demo of Star Wars 1313, during which the protagonist climbs the wing of a falling ship (3:42). By setting the action on the infamous level 1313 of Coruscant, there would probably be many more such actions.
This zone is located exactly 1313 levels from Coruscant's core (the planet literally consists of structures built one above the other). Officially, the only roads connecting this place to the surface are a few huge ventilation shafts for running ships. No wonder then that level 1313 is a real paradise for all sorts of gangs, crooks and criminals of the Star Wars universe.
Streets barely lit by neon lights and holograms, fungi growing on the rusting walls and air poisoned with radioactive waste - the potential of this ecosystem for an atmospheric game is enormous (one could even say that it is a kind of a Star Wars Metro). Unfortunately, abandoning of the Star Wars 1313 trademark in 2014 means that we will probably never see it (which was confirmed by a well-known industry insider).
Who knows, though, maybe we will get to visit the infamous level in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. It will be released on April 5 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Until then, may the force be with you.
