S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is one of the main topics of the latest issue of PC Gamer magazine. On this occastion, the devs published new screenshots showing the game in action.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is one of the most anticipated games planned for next year among fans of post-apocalyptic and survivalist vibes. If you're looking forward to the release, which will take place on April 28th, the team at GSC Game World has something that should make the wait a little more pleasant. In addition, the announcement of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is one of the main topics of the latest issue of the PC Gamer magazine. The text contains some interesting information, which was revealed to the magazine's editor by Evgeniy Grigorovich, the game's director. He emphasized, among other things, that his team introduced a slightly more modernized feeling of decay and destruction of environment to the vast world of the title (which is to cover 64 square kilometers of various biomes). In addition, the game will feature new types of monsters and mutants (such as a deformed deer), much more dangerous anomalies, and an expanded survival system. There will also be three factions - Freedom, who will want to share the secrets of the Chernobyl Zone with the whole world, the religious sect Monolith, and the Guardians acting as a kind of law enforcement.
According to Grygorovich, to see most of what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl has to offer the players will have to spend about 100 hours. This includes side quests and the main plot, filled with various choices (which requires more than one playthrough to get to know all possible perspectives). Both of these elements were worked on by 30 narrative specialists. To quote Grigorovich:
"Creating a non-linear story is the biggest challenge when it comes to games, and we consider the story to be one of the most important elements in our title. We're really proud of how we've managed to shape it."
