STALKER 2 and STALKER: Clear Sky Visual Comparison

Thanks to community involvement, games like STALKER: Clear Sky are still alive. One of youtube channels published a comparison of STALKER 2 graphics with the game from 2008.

A video has been posted on Candyland's YouTube channel comparing the visuals of STALKER: Pure Heaven with the sequel - STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl. In the video, an effort was made to demonstrate close-up shots of the game in such a way that the players could see the visual improvements in the upcoming title. The frames for comparison were cut from the gameplay trailer for the sequel.

It is worth mentioning that the above video uses the basic version of STALKER from 2008 - and it should be kept in mind while comparing both games. STALKER 2 will run on Unreal Engine 4, while the original uses X-Ray 1.5 Engine. A remaster of the original STALKER is available, which, among other things, adds ultra HD textures, improved weather conditions, lighting, and shadows. Nevertheless, thanks to this short comparison you can get an idea of how the new installment of the series will look like.

The release of STALKER 2 is planned for April 28, 2022. The game will come out on PC and Xbox Series X and S.
