SpellForce 3 to come out this year; check out new screenshots and info
Nordic Games revealed some new screenshots and info about SpellForce 3. Following the tradition of the series, the game is to combine RTS and RPG elements. No release date has been given yet, but the title is to come out this year.
Nordic Games decided to remind players of SpellForce 3, another installment in a successful game series that skillfully combined RTS and RPG elements. The title, in development by Grimlore Games, is going to come out on PC this year, but no specific release date has been given yet. Storywise, SpellForce 3 will be set before SpellForce: The Order of Dawn. Therefore, the game will feature much bigger open locations across the consistent fantasy world of Eo that hasn’t been fragmented yet. We will witness the events that led to the world-changing Convocation.
As in the two previous games, in SpellForce 3 we will create a character and develop them over time as in a pureblood RPG. Up to three other heroes will be able to join our party. What’s more, the game will let us conquer new territories, build a base, gather resources and expand our army. Locations are to be divided into sectors and we will only be able to conquer those that are adjacent to our territory. Micromanagement will not be as fast-paced as usual in RTS games, giving us more time to enjoy the RPG experience. Single player campaign promises to offer over 30 hours of gameplay.
