Special Event in Battlefield 2042; 64-player Conquest and Breakthrough
Battlefield 2042 will soon receive new variants of classic game modes. They will appeal to those who do not like chaotic clashes of 128 players.
- Battlefield 2042 received special variants of the Conquest and Breakthrough modes;
- The number of players has been limited to 64 people;
- Only owners of PCs and next-gen consoles can test this novelty.
Prior to the release of Battlefield 2042, one of the most talked about features of the game was the fact that it will support 128-player battles. Only on PC and next-gen consoles, of course, but it was still pretty impressive. In the end, many players began to complain about such large battles, as they turned out to be extremely chaotic.
DICE has apparently heard the voices of disappointment, as new variants of classic modes have made their way into the game. Conquest and Breakthrough will now be playable in groups of 64. The new variants can now be activated via the All-Out Warfare menu. Unfortunately this option will not be available forever. The option to play these classic modes for 64 players will be removed from the game after the Christmas break.
Of course, this information only applies to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X owners. Owners of last-gen consoles only got access to the maximum 64-player games by default.
