Fans who stay updated on the leaks for the game will know this character as Hanabi. However, insider information states that her name was recently changed, along with few others. But who is Sparkle and what is her role in the game? Find out below.
Sparkle in Honkai Star Rail (HSR) Explained

Sparkle is a highly anticipated character among Honkai Star Rail players, as it is expected that she will become a very powerful support. She has been leaked as a Quantum character following the path of Harmony, which in HSR is reserved for buffers.
However, Sparkle does more than just increase the damage of her teammates. In addition, according to the subject to change unofficial kit information, Hanabi’s biggest strength is the ability to restore skill points for the party through her Technique and Ultimate. This is potentially game-breaking, as some of the most powerful attackers in the game, such as Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae or Qingque, are balanced by their high SP cost. Add her Skill, which can advance forward the actions of the party, and you’ve got an absolutely overpowered unit. However, keep in mind that the latest leaks about Sparkle’s kit come from 7 months ago, which means she could’ve already been rebalanced, and more information will come during the beta version before her official release.
What is more, story leaks point to Sparkle as a key figure of the Penacony Trailblaze Mission. She is one of the Masked Fools, elusive followers of the Aeon of Elation, Aha. She might release as soon as version 1.6, expected within the first quarter of 2024.
