SnowRunner Patch 5.0 Will Add New Map and Improved Saves

We've learned the release date and content of patch 5.0 for SnowRunner. The update will offer, among other things, a new map, abolish the one saved game limit and introduce improvements for mods.

The patch will debut next week.
Patch 5.0 includes, among others:
  1. Additional map (Taymyr Rift) with new missions;
  2. Multiplay save slots;
  3. Extra skins;
  4. Multiplayer enhancements;
  5. Working mirrors in console versions;
  6. Improvements for mod users on PC.

Saber Interactive Studio revealed details of the latest update for the off-road truck simulator SnowRunner. Patch 5.0 will be released on June 9, simultaneously on PCs and consoles.

The update will add a new map, Taymyr Rift, with new missions. We will also get two new skins (Derry Longhorn 3194 and KHAN Lo4F) and the option to create multiple saves instead of just one, as it is now. In addition, in multiplayer, the players will be able to change the region where the game is being played.

Patch 5.0 will also make changes exclusive to some versions. The console releases will finally get working mirrors, something that PC users have long enjoyed. To celebrate this, a new trailer has been released, which can be watched above.

PC-related elements of the patch focus on mods. We will get a counter of installed modifications and the possibility to use free camera to explore fan-made maps. In addition, there will be an option to configure the force feedback effect for players with steering wheels.

SnowRunner was released on April 20 this year, simultaneously on PC and Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game was warmly received. The PC version received an average rating of 82% on Metacritic. For the XONE release it is 81% and for the PS4, 80%.
