Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 reveal trailer and new details emerge
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has just received the first gameplay trailer. We also have some fresh info on the game's sandbox mechanics, progression system, and more.
The more info on Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 we have, the more interesting the game appears. Recently, our team had a hands-on time with the game’s demo, and we’ve learned some fresh facts about the project by Polish developer CI Games. Besides, the first official gameplay trailer was recently posted online, and you can find below:
Gameplay featured in the upcoming Sniper: Ghost Warrior game will be much closer to sanbox mechanics known from the Far Cry franchise. The title will offer several large open maps, where you will be able to move around on foot, by an off-road car, or using a fast travel system. Apart from main and side missions, the maps will be filled with numerous collectibles, crafting materials, and points of interests.
A big new feature introduced in the series will be a character progression system based on three archetypes: sniper, ghost, and warrior. Each mission will indicate the suggested playstyle, however, you will be free to choose any approach you like. Pursuing a given style will unlock useful perks (e.g. sniper will learn how to hold his breath for longer, and ghost will be able to sneak faster). What’s more, missions will often have unexpected complications and bonus objectives, doing which will require you to change tactics on the go.
The developers are serious about military features. Weapons and gear available in the game are all licensed, and many other features were consulted with military advisors. Besides, there are some mechanics that enhance overall realism of the gameplay, such as the ability to lean the rifle against environmental objects, or the influence of weight of equipment on the movement speed.
