Skull and Bones May be Even Closer Than We Think; Game Got Rated

The long-awaited debut of the online game Skull & Bones is approaching. After many perturbations Ubisoft's work was rated in South Korea, which suggests that the work on the project is already completed and maybe we'll see it later this year.

Nearly five years. This is how much time has passed since the moment Ubisoft announced a new pirate game. Unfortunately, the road to its release turned out to be long and riddled with obstacles. To illustrate what the French publisher had to deal with, suffice to mention that the premiere of its work has been postponed as many as four times.

However, all signs in heaven and on earth indicate that the patience of the players will soon be rewarded (unless the game itself turns out to be a disappointment, of course). As reported by GameSpot, citing information from VGC, South Korean age rating organization (equivalent to PEGI) has just rated Skull & Bones, which means that work on the game is already closer than further from the end.

This is not the end of good news for those who want to play as a pirate ravaging the oceans. In the latest financial report Ubisoft confirmed that the game will debut later this fiscal year. This means that game;s launch should be expected no later than March 31, 2023. However, there is a chance that the debut of Skull & Bones will occur much earlier - just the South Korean rating gives hope for this.

Skull & Bones is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox and will focus on network gameplay. Players will get a chance to walk the path from humble seadog to the terror of the seas and oceans. Some time ago we could see the unofficial gameplay on Streamable, but Ubisoft reacted to the leak and removed the footage after some time - in exchange, the company released a short teaser on the game's official Twitter account, available below.
