Size of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Intrigues; Difference on Xbox Could be Huge [UPDATE]
Before installing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Xbox Series X console owners will have to do quite a bit of disk cleaning. Surprisingly, on Xbox Series S the situation does not look so bad.
Update #1: As we assumed, the size of Jedi: Survivor version for PlayStation 5 consoles is very close to that for Xbox Series X. According to information published by Twitter user Okami Games (a known insider), on Sony's device the game requires about 147 GB of free space.
Reviewers gained access to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (for other players, there is still no official information about the start of the preload). Thanks to this, news is reaching us about a big difference in the size of Respawn Entertainment's game on Xbox consoles.
According to information circulating on the web , Jedi: Survivor requires at this point about 140 GB of free space on the Xbox Series X. The situation is quite different on the weaker variant of Microsoft's device. In the case of the S Series, the game's installation files are expected to take up just 44 GB.
Why the difference?
The disparity in the required space between the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S editions is most likely due to differences in graphics. As suggested by gamers under the post of insider Idle_sloth, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor version for the more powerful console supports assets in 4K resolution, which significantly increases the game's file size. In the case of the S model, the maximum resolution is 1440p, which is necessarily reflected in the weight of the game files.
We remind you that the system requirements of of the PC edition of Jedi: Survivor speak of as much as 155 GB of required disk space. At the time of writing this news, the size of the title on PlayStation 5 consoles is not yet publicly known. However, a similar situation to that on the Xbox Series X can be expected.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will debut on PC, PS5 and XSX/S on April 28, this year. If you are still considering buying the game, perhaps the final gameplay will dispel your doubts. You can find it here.
