Sims 4 Update Adds Nearly 1,200 Item Variations; Roadmap Available
New update for The Sims 4 adds almost 1200 variants to 149 items from the base game. Additionally, two new collections, developed in cooperation with experts of the fashion world, will appear in the game.
This month The Sims 4 celebrated its seventh birthday. Since the release of Maxis' game, the devs released almost 50 add-ons for it, introducing new features and items. The latter were distinguished from the base game objects by a much larger color palette. The latest update changes that, adding a total of about 1200 new color variations for 149 items from the base game.
While most of the added variations are new wood tones for chairs, bookcases, mirrors and the like, there will also be some more daring tones for towels, curtains and blinds. Speaking of windows - all 64 versions have received additional tints. The update doesn't forget about beds, garbage cas, kitchen appliances, decorative items and plants as well. Some floors and walls have also undergone a small overhaul.
In addition, on October 5, two new kits will appear in the game: Fashion Street kit and Incheon Arrivals kit. For the former, the developers have worked with fashion expert Shruti Sitara Singh to create a unique style, taken straight from the streets of Mumbai. Incheon Arrivals will focus on South Korean fashion through the lens of Seoul-Inchon Airport, South Korea's main international airport. This kit was also created with the help of an expert - in this case, the winner of Miss Korea USA 2016, Jasmine "Jazzy" Cho.
All of the described content is part of a three-month roadmap titled Season of Selves. While the fans will have to wait a bit longer before they can start fitting the new kits, the update adding the new variants is now available for download on PC and Mac as well as Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Xbox One and PS4.
