Syberia: The World Before Delayed to 2022
Contrary to predictions, Syberia: The World Before will not be released this year. The launch of the adventure game has been postponed to 2022.
We have bad news for adventure game fans. Microids has announced that the release of the highly anticipated Syberia: The World Before has been delayed.
Originally, the fourth installment of the series was to launch on December 10. The publisher did not give an exact new date and limited itself to stating that the game will appear in the first quarter of next year, or before the end of March.
The reason for the delay is simple - the devs informed that they need more time to polish the game. Such caution seems advisable, especially considering the fact that last month such big titles as Battlefield 2042 or Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition took a lot of flak over the premature launches.
The PC version will be sold on Steam, GOG.com and Epic Games Store. Ports for yet unspecified consoles are also expected to be released later in 2022. The PC-only release is quite surprising, as Syberia 3 launched simultaneously on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Syberia: The World Before will be the first installment of the series released after the death of the brand's creator - Benoit Sokal. This Belgian designer and comic artist passed away this May. The fourth part of the series is the last game he worked on.
