Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the work of Japanese studio FromSoftware. The game was headed by the legendary designer - Hidetaki Miyazaki - who served in the same role for, among other games, Dark Souls, Dark Souls III and Bloodborne.
- The game takes us to an alternate version of Japan from the 16th century, where historical elements are mixed with fantasy. During the game, we play the role of the title Sekiro - a warrior called "one-armed wolf". His mission is to rescue a young heir to an ancient bloodline and take revenge on the kidnappers who cut off his hand and left him for dead.
- Compared to FromSoftware's previous works, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is distinguished by a more direct and clear storyline, which is presented through more numerous cutscenes and an expanded dialogue system. Players also have the opportunity to influence the story, making decisions that lead to one of four different endings. Depending on the choices we made, some endings require facing different bosses.
- Although Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has many of the characteristics of soulslike games, it also introduces new or modified mechanics that significantly affect gameplay.
